I have been exhausted for several weeks now. In truth, it has been more like months.
This Spring, I had expanded my business. For the first two years of my business, I was working against growing constraints. I toiled away making money and feeling successful, while also needing more space. Finally, the day came, and I made it happen.
For a long time, I have been convinced that it was a good thing. Sadly, though, I have been working through the growing pains of that expansion. I applied my sales and marketing background to my massage business, without considering that I am not Superwoman. My work days have grown longer, my overhead has increased dramatically, and business has slowed for the Summer. All of this has contributed to the impending burn-out that I am facing now. I admit, there have been times that I have considering running away from home. There is that small voice that creeps in from time to time, when my shoulder aches, and my bills are mounting, and I'm not sure just when the next payday will arrive. With that said, the only real option for me is to continue. I would hate to call it quits right on the precipice of success. It is always the darkest right before the dawn.
As such, I am redoubling my health efforts. I have spent far too many days overworking. I have allowed the tail to wag the dog, so to speak, and I have not been very strategic in my health. I run out the door at the crack of dawn, drop my daughter at school, eat a restaurant take out meal, then arrive at my office where I will spend the next 8-12 hours. In a fit of desperation, I will then try to blow off steam with friends, where I overindulge in alcohol and late nights. It is time to stop.
Today seems as good as any other day to begin reclaiming health. I actually spent the day planning some Paleo-friendly meals, and actually went grocery shopping for food. My refrigerator no longer looks like a wasteland of empty space. I diced some cauliflower as a substitute for rice in my shrimp fried rice recipe. I also made some spaghetti squash with meat sauce, and it was fabulous! I'll even have some meals I can take to work.
My job is very physically demanding, and it is time for me to take the advice I dispense to my clients. Our busy season will begin in the next month. Now is as good a time as any to get myself in order to face the increased traffic.
Here are the links to the two yummy meals I planned today. They are brought to your courtesy of a great site I found called Paleogrubs.com:

These are from a series of videos I did in 2016 about my #weightloss with the #Atkins #LowCarb #Diet. I thought it would be a good idea to integrate them into my blog on my #Health & #WeightLoss page. Hope you enjoy!
